What’s the meaning of good?

  Should the truth be told when someone lied, or when someone wants to know the truth but might be disappointed? What’s the meaning of good? Is it good to let them know the truth or is it good to not reveal the truth that you found so that they won’t be disappointed of the someone who lied?
